After the tremendous success of the first season of the spin-off show of To All The Boys I've Loved Before, XO, Kitty was renewed for its very anticipated season two, which came out earlier in the year.

Season one found extreme success due to the love and comfort that audiences had for the All The Boys I've Loved Before trilogy, which starred Kitty's older sister, Lara Jean. I was personally very attached to the characters and couldn't have been happier to have more. The season was full of nostalgic mentions of the old familiar ones as well as development of new characters you couldn't help but fall in love with.
Kitty's development from the little sister to the main character was one to follow. You see her finding her feet and figuring things out in a new environment with all her constants removed. The fashionable heiress, Yuri, who while at first seems like the meanest of mean girls is soon depicted as the true caring friend that she is.
Dae, the boyfriend, has more layers than anyone would have guessed. He has two roommates and best friends: Q, the American athlete and Kitty's new BFF, and of course, our beloved Min Ho, a complete diva full of sarcasm and wit all with a British accent to top it off.

Season one builds the drama like never before, romance, friendships, school, and betrayals, all ending with a billion questions. What does Kitty say to Min Ho after his heartfelt confession? Does she come back to KISS?
What about her feeling for Yuri? And what happens now that Juliana is back? All these questions are picked up in the second season.

The Drama Continues...
The show starts at the beginning of the spring semester at KISS. Kitty, Q's anointed Chaos Queen is back to KISS with one mission—find more about her mom and absolutely no drama. But, it seems as if she doesn't love the drama, it loves her.
Kitty didn't discover much about her mom's life last semester, so this semester, she sets out on finding the mysterious Simon. However, with her own personal drama following her every step of the way, it makes for an entertaining guilty-pleasure binge-watch (okay, rewatch too...).
In season two, there are tensions between Kitty's friendship with Yuri and Yuri's new relationship with Juliana. One of the major dramas of this season is introduced by Min Ho's dad, who is in town with intentions to set off competitions to no end. And of course, that brings us to our most important new character, Stella, a sweet, church-girl for Pepper Pike, Ohio. At least that is what she wants everyone to think...
We get new characters in Praveena, Kitty's love interest, and Jin, who is Min Ho and Dae's old bully, and lo and behold, Q's perfect nemesis to lovers romancer. On all this drama, Kitty's quest to find more about her mom is the main driver, but in all the chaos, it's often a friendly face from home that brings all the comfort you need. Bringing Peter Kavinsky back on the show, with the backdrop of "I Like Me Better," was possibly the best decision made by the show makers.
Conclusion
With season two, expect to be blown away with the well-developed plot and the development of all the characters. But I know, anyone who was waiting for season two had the same question: Does Kitty end up with Min Ho? And without spoiling anything, I will say, you will be satisfied with what you see even if it is not exactly in the way you expected.

The season tests the characters, their friendships, and relationships and brings out what is truly in their hearts. While I agree with some of the criticisms of clichéd plot lines and immaturity in characters (especially a bit of second-hand embarrassment from Kitty at times), it makes for a good guilty-pleasure no-brainer comfort watch for those of us who can look past the "cringe" (I personally can!). So what are you waiting for? Go and watch the new season of XO, Kitty and let me know what you think in the comments!
