Absolute bangers like "Kill This Love'', "How You Like That'' and "Shut Down'' have shaped them as a global phenomenon.

They’ve broken records too—,,DDU-DU DDU-DU'' has over 1.8 billion views on YouTube, and they’ve been the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella (yup, that happened in 2019!). Talk about making history.

Even though the girls wrapped up their 7-year contract with YG Entertainment and went off to do their solos, they’ve just signed an exclusive deal to stick together as BLACKPINK for group activities. That means we’re going to get a ton of new stuff, including the exciting fan sign event happening on August 8, 2024, where 88 lucky fans will meet the girls to celebrate their anniversary. YG Entertainment’s big boss, Yang Hyunsuk, dropped some serious news in the four-minute YouTube video on July 21, 2024, announcing a bunch of exciting plans for 2025. Not only are BLACKPINK coming back, but they’re also going on a world tour! We’ll also get to see 2NE1 reunite, the rookies BABYMONSTER hitting the road, and a brand new girl group joining the YG fam.

On February 19, 2025, YG Entertainment officially announced the dates for BLACKPINK's 2025 world tour in the company's and group's accounts. The group will start their tour in the Goyang Stadium on July 5, 2025, before taking the show on the road for a January 16, 2026, finish in Tokyo's Tokyo Dome. The tour will include stops in South Korea, North America, Europe, and Japan, all in stadiums.

For some fans, it seems strange to announce BLACKPINK's comeback right now considering all four of its members are deep in the weeds of promoting various solo projects. It's only been a few months since Rosé released her debut solo album rosie in December 2024, JENNIE's Ruby was released and LISA debuted her new album Alter Ego. That's not even to mention LISA's appearance in the third season of ,,White Lotus'' and her promotions of the show, or JISOO's four-track follow-up AMORTAGE.

When it comes to the song theme or the musical style of the comeback, we don’t have much information. However, the anticipation and expectations are high. Fans believe that the quintet will preserve their unique sound while also having a different spice, something we have never heard of Blackpink.
