Creativity is an outlet for human expression. In a world where an activity's value is assigned based on its capital worth or potential to make money, there's been a decline in hobbies and artistry. Everybody overlooks the arts, saying if it won't make you money then it's a waste of time.
Simply put, this is wrong. There's value in a task that makes you happy, there's value in tasks that make other people happy, as well as in tasks that help us grow.

Pottery doesn't require you to have any expensive wheels, fancy tools, or prestigious classes. Pottery can be as simple as buying a tub of Crayola clay from your local craft store and hand-shaping a mug. It's an artistic hobby that's just as efficient as it is entertaining as you can create many practical things from a simple ball of clay.
You can make coasters, jewelry containers, figurines, mugs, bowls, and plates. For beginners, make sure your clay is air-dry and non-toxic.

2. Painting
Painting is an art almost as old as time, not to mention one of the simpler crafts. It can easily be adapted to your level of expertise by starting with watercolors on printer paper or leveling up to oil paints on a real canvas. You can paint anything and everything. Examples include your favorite stuffed animal, your favorite flower, a dream you had, a person you like, or a recreation of one of your favorite images.
