Strawberry lemonade is a classic drink that’s perfect for every picnic, pool day, and barbecue. All you need to make it yourself is:
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 chopped strawberries
- 7 cups water
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
First, add the sugar and water to a saucepan on medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Then, allow it to cool completely. Next, add your strawberries to a blender or food processor and blitz them until they form a puree. At this point, you can decide if you want to strain the puree to remove the seeds.
Add the puree to a jug with the sugar water and lemon juice. Stir the mixture to combine everything. The fun is in the decorating, so save some strawberries and garnish your glasses with strawberry slices and a mint leaf to impress your friends. The berries are said to be a great fruit for supporting brain health, preventing inflammatory diseases, fueling beneficial gut bacteria and managing blood pressure.

You’ll need:
- 3 ounces of frozen orange juice concentrate

- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Coconut and Pineapple Mocktail
A nonalcoholic twist on a beloved cocktail is a great way to cool off during the heat of spring. To make this beverage, grab:
- 2 ounces of club soda
- 2 ounces of coconut water
- 1 ounce grapefruit juice
- 3 ounces pineapple juice
From there, all you do is add everything to a jug and mix it thoroughly. You’ll get some great electrolytes from the coconut water and vitamin C and bromelain to reduce inflammation from the pineapple juice. Don’t forget to garnish with pineapple slices or mint!

Carrot Juice Mocktail
If you’re looking for an extra health boost, make a carrot juice mocktail to beef up your vitamin C intake, which helps produce collagen. It’s like drinking an anti-aging and skin-protecting serum so you can stay looking fresh!
- 2 ½ ounces carrot juice
- A strip of orange peel
- ½ ounce cinnamon simple syrup
- 2 ounces clementine or orange juice
To make the cinnamon syrup, just add some broken cinnamon sticks to a pot of sugar dissolved in water, bring to a boil and let it simmer for about five minutes. Then, take it off the heat and let it cool for about an hour before you take the cinnamon out. All creating the drink takes is muddling the orange peel in a shaker, adding your ingredients and shaking them up with some ice.

Summer Mocktail
If health is your goal, this mocktail is the perfect place to start. It’s filled with fruits and vegetables, but not in the gross health-smoothie-your-mom-makes-for-breakfast sort of way. It’s actually delicious.
You’ll need to get:
- Some frozen red berries
- Water
- One sprig of mint
- One thick slice of cucumber
- 4 ounces sparkling lemonade
This recipe works best with clear lemonade, but you can use any kind you want. Add the water to a pot and bring it to a boil before adding chopped cucumber and mint. Take the mixture off the heat and leave it for a few minutes. Add the frozen berries and let them defrost for a while until you can crush them with the back of a spoon.
Strain the mixture and then add it to your favorite glass, topping it off with lemonade. The bonus of this recipe is the berries make it great for your gallbladder. Although you’re probably not thinking about it right now, gallbladder health is super important as you get older.

- 2 cups black cherry juice
- 2 cups mixed berries
- A bay leaf
- 2 oranges
- ¾ cup honey
- 6 allspice berries
- 1 tsp. coriander seeds
- 4 star anise pods
Peel the oranges and add the peels to a saucepan with the allspice berries, star anise, coriander, bay leaves and honey. Add the juice from the oranges to the saucepan, too. Next, add the cherry and pomegranate juices and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Allow this to simmer for 30 minutes, and then remove the orange peels and spices. Pour it into mugs and enjoy a lovely, warming springtime treat. According to a 2020 study, pomegranate and cherry are both great fruits for anti-inflammation and can potentially promote recovery.
