  1. Pottery

Why not take pottery classes if you want to find a new shared hobby over the summer? Apart from learning a rare craft, you and your partner can find a common interest in spinning pottery. If it isn't spinning pottery, it could be painting pottery instead. At the end of the date, you and your significant other can even have a memento to remember the date for the future.

2. Fairs

Summer is the ideal time for fairs to open up around the country. If the blazing heat is too much to deal with during the day, then why not take the date into the evening instead? Not only do fairs have rides or even the Ferris wheel, but they also have food and prizes to keep you busy the entire time. If money is the problem, the only thing that costs a lot is the rides, so you both can enjoy all the food.

3. Farmers/Flee Markets

Notoriously known for their fresh fruit or even clothes, visiting a farmer's or flea market this summer makes for a great date.

While farmer's markets have their share of fresh fruit and food, flea markets sometimes make up for great vintage accessory and clothing shopping. Sharing your date's interest in purchasing second-hand items or food of the finest kind is perfect during this seasonal weather.

4. Thrift Shopping

If thrifting is something you and your partner enjoy, why not make a whole day out of it? While visiting different stores, the journey combined with thrifting makes for an amazing day.

The combined excitement of searching for the best finds and in the best areas will make this date full of surprises. To make it even more enjoyable, you can pick outfits for each other and model them on!

5. Hiking

If exploring is more of a calling to you, then hiking is the perfect way to find those hidden gems during your journeys. Making a date for exploring and discovering many new places makes up for surprising memories.

The journey of finding different places and even potentially swimming in some of them is memorable in itself. But combining it with amazing views makes the date much more appealing.

6. Road Trip

If a few hours seems too long, why not make it several hours or days? A road trip through the country or a few states makes up for a new travel method.

Although the date is extended, summer is the perfect time to take the road trip since people have the most free time. I like finding new places to eat, like diners or even around the street. Not only this but meeting people together and discovering new places makes for a memorable date to look back on heartwarmingly.

7. Drive-In Movies

Going to the movies is a well-known and beloved date many people go on. So why not change the date and go to a drive-in theatre?

Bringing your snacks and the comfort of your car makes the date much more fun! With drive-in movies, there is no worry about talking too loudly and disrupting other people; everyone is in the comfort of their cars instead. This is a great shorter date for those who have other things during summer as well.

8. Picnic

Going on a picnic date is ideal during the summer to make a more memorable and calm date. Find a nice park or even an ocean to change the scenery.

Bring all of your and your partner's favorite foods and spend some time under the sun simply enjoying each other's company (and good food)! This is a much more quality time-inducing date and helps you guys get to know each other in a much calmer setting.

9. Amusement Parks

An amusement park is the perfect summer date for those who love adrenaline. While having a fun time with the rides, the long lines tend to get a little agitating. At the same time, though, this gives the perfect opportunity to get to know one another much better during the lines. Even if the lines get too long, you can play a game on your phone instead of with your partner.

10. Roller Skating

A much more unknown location to have a date is roller skating. While it is a summer alternative to ice skating, it is also paired with funky, fun music to make the date so much more enjoyable.

Even if you have no previous experience with skating, you can teach yourselves to skate using each other as support. Return to the olden days with this date and enjoy the vibes.

11. Bowling

If you and your partner love a good competition, why not go bowling? While competing to see who has the most skill, there is also food at the bowling alleys to enjoy.

This date takes all the awkwardness away if it is a first date, as it is a push to talk more. Friendly competition paired with bright lights make up for a perfect summer date.

12. Baseball Game

For all the sports fanatics during this summer season, going to a baseball game makes up for the perfect summer date. While the baseball league is in full swing, there are games nationwide.

The energy of the game and the food make up for a great date in general, even if it is the first. This is a chance to bond over your love for sports or potentially teach each other about the sport altogether.

13. Ocean Bonfire

For all the water lovers, having a date at the beach might spark your interest. But why not make the date worthwhile and transfer it over to the night as well? Both of you can build a bonfire and huddle around the fire with a beautiful view of the ocean right next to you. While keeping both of you warm, this bonfire also helps make summer snacks like s'mores to enjoy with the ocean view!

14. Lake/River Trip

For those unfortunate enough not to have an ocean around them, going to the lake is just as fun. While the journey to the lake itself is a blast, being there with the view is so much better!

With the calm waters of the lakes, it is the perfect place to have a summer date with your partner. It is also a bonus if there is fear of the high-moving ocean water since lakes/rivers are so much more tranquil.

15. Ocean Day Trip

If merely going to the ocean is not enough, instead, make it a day-long trip. Traveling to the nicest beach somewhere around you and exploring the town makes up for a perfect summer date.

With different shops, food, and entertainment in the town, there is the bonus of the beautiful beach waiting for you as well. It is the perfect day-long trip if you both don't want to be swimming the entire time. It gives you more time to explore the town adjacent to the beach!
