Lately, when shopping, my mantra has been quality over quantity. Sure, it’s nothing new, and everyone says it all the time, but it’s one thing to genuinely change my shopping habits and commit to buying an item that might cost more, but last longer— rather than the ones where I buy cheap clothes that are torn up in just five wash cycles.
Maybe this is me approaching my big girl adult phase and actually being mature about how I spend my money, but hey, it’s been doing wonders for my wardrobe. Since switching to being more conscious about where I shop and how I shop, I’ve noticed:
- My clothes aren’t really trendy. They’re more classic, so I get more use out of them.
- My clothes are so much softer on my skin and more enjoyable to wear.
- My clothes last longer— it doesn’t get pills, tear easily, or get all messed up as often.
All that to say, I think I’ve finally nailed down my shopping habits to something that’s a bit more sustainable for me. After all, buying cheap online boutique clothes can only be so fun when it barely lasts, and if I’m going to be spending money regardless, I might as well spend it the right way.

The Good Kind of Basic
I’ve tried the classic Cozy Earth Fine Ribbed Tank Top and actually fell in love— it got about at least 3 wears per week, and if you really break it down, that’s an investment worth making.
So, when I heard there was a long-sleeve version of the item, I knew it would never fail.
The Fine Ribbed Long Sleeve Tee is made from the smoothest cotton blend I have ever felt in my life.
It’s the good kind of soft where it’s snug, making it the perfect staple for the colder weather. It truly stands out amongst all the other staples I’ve had, because the fabric truly is the best of its kind.
I’m also obsessed with how well it fits. It has a comfortable stretch and hugs your silhouette exactly the way it should, and it hits right at the waist where it’s not too short or too long. Even Goldilocks would be happy with this one.
I love layering this with another sweater or a cute jacket. Really, it’s the best kind of basic— the one that’s reliable, simple, and makes you feel and look put together.
The Sweater That Feels Like a Hug
If it’s getting cold, you know you need to get bundled up and wear a sweater. After being deceived by so many sweaters that looked fine but were the itchiest thing ever, I only trust the ones from Cozy Earth, because I know they can do no wrong.
The Airknit V-Neck Sweater is one of my absolute favorites— made with 100% mercerized wool, it’s so lightweight and exactly the perfect thing to drape over when the weather dips to be just a little chilly, but not too cold. This fits not too loose and not too tight— and I love draping it over a little white t-shirt for a bit of cute layering. I love how simple it is, yet so elegant. This goes perfectly for that off-duty model look with some slouchy low rise jeans, or looks perfect for an elevated dinner with a satin slip skirt.
Another one of my absolute favorites is the Oversized Classic Cardigan. I’m obsessed with how thick and soft this is— this is the one sweater where I can say with full confidence that it actually feels like draping a blanket over myself. Made with a blend of viscose from bamboo, modal, and nylon, this cardigan is the perfect item for the cold, cozy winter days. I love throwing this over a fitted lounge set for a more put-together look to elevate it from looking like pajamas, but I also love pairing this with a classic denim-and-top look.
