15 Minutes

From the start, I can hear Sabrina's witty comments per usual ("It's fleeting like my battery life") with a fun electric beat. "15 Minutes" fits the sassy, peppy beat mood, just like "Espresso," and I can easily see this song being a favorite on the dance floor!

I would give this song a 5 out of 5 stars. I loved the catchy beat and how it really follows the whole theme of Short n' Sweet!

Please Please Please (feat. Dolly Parton)

Immediately, I hear a more country-type vibe to this remix. There are noticeable guitar twangs in the background that only enhance those Southern vibes as Dolly Parton joins Sabrina for the chorus for "please, please, please."

I'm personally not one for the country, but I love the different mood Dolly brought to this song. My rating would be 4 out of 5 stars.

Couldn't Make It Harder

This song is more lyrical and really showcases Sabrina's vocals. It reminded me of "Slim Pickings!" "Couldn't Make It Harder" was definitely more personal and vulnerable. Lyrics included "But I couldn't make it / Any harder to love me," even though her partner is trying their best.

Although I liked the song, it also wasn't my favorite. Therefore, my rating for this song is 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Busy Woman

I loved the chorus of this song, especially the belt Sabrina does! I felt that the background instruments really added to the song, especially because they helped enunciate some of the words. As expected, this song also has a hefty dose of flirtiness and clever quips!

My overall rating for this song would be 4 out of 5 stars.

Bad Reviews

I think most of Short n' Sweet portrayed Sabrina as someone seemingly untouchable, but this song touched more on toxic relationships and how Sabrina deals with them. Sabrina sings about how "If I close an eye, it's almost like your red flags are blue," saying that if she chose to "ignore" the toxic traits of her partner, it's almost as if they don't exist. It had a similar meaning to her "Lie to Girls," which was also included in Short n' Sweet.

This song was a lovely way to end her album, especially because it reveals a more vulnerable side. I also love how she featured a lot of guitar in this song. My rating for "Bad Reviews" would be 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Conclusion

I think that Sabrina's deluxe album will get everyone in the mood for summer! In all, I would give the deluxe version of Short n' Sweet a 4.5 out of 5 stars. With hits like "Espresso", it seemed almost impossible that Sabrina could once again deliver, yet she did! She's got everyone feeling light as a feather while listening to her music, and there is no doubt that her new songs will find their way onto all the music charts!
