Released on January 21st, Cruel Is The Light is a new epic fantasy about the story of a demon hunter and a foot soldier that cross a forbidden path during a century long bloody war. Following the story of Selene Alleva, a high ranking exorcist, and Jules Lacroix, an orphan recruited by the Vatican, these two protagonists navigate the dangers of a war between demons and the Vatican.

2. I Am Not Jessica Chen by Ann Liang

After getting rejected from various Ivy Leagues and failing to meet her Asian parent's high expectations, Jenna Chen makes a wish to become her perfect cousin, Jessica. Not expecting her wish to come true, quite literally, Jenna starts to realize the downside of her seemingly flawless cousin's life. This coming of age novel was released on January 28th.

3. Rebel Witch by Kristen Ciccarelli

Rebel Witch is a sequel to Heartless Hunter, the first book of the Crimson Moth series released last year. This second installment of the series continues to follow the narrative of witch Rune Winters and witch hunter Gideon Sharpe. While Rune tries to escape death by allying with the enemy, Gideon is constantly rethinking his decisions between duty as a witch hunter and his love for Rune. This exciting novel will be released on February 18th.

4. Oathbound by Tracy Deonn

Continuing the story of Bree Matthews, Oathbound is the third installment in the Legendborn Cycle series that was first introduced in 2020. Now facing the dilemma of a bargain with the Shadow King, Bree is set to navigate challenges during her exile from the Legendborn Order. On the other side, Scions face war with the fractured Round Table, mysterious kidnappings, and the deaths of Merlins. The long anticipated third novel of the series will be released on March 4th.

5. Sunrise On The Reaping by Suzanne Collins

From the beloved world of Panem, Sunrise On The Reaping, to be released on March 18, follows the story of Haymitch Abernathy and his time during the Games. In honor of the Quarter Quell, the games is taking twice as many tributes as the year before. In District 12, Haymitch only wants to think about making it through the day and the girl he loves. But when he is ripped from his family and loved ones after being called into the Games, the world watches to see if he will survive.

6. Fearless by Lauren Roberts

BookTok sensation, Powerless, sees its final installment, titled Fearless, in the Powerless Trilogy. Protagonists Paedyn Gray, a rebel, and Kai Azer, the King's Enforcer, are once reunited in the Kingdom of Ilya, but face difficult decisions that can change the fate of everyone in the kingdom. The highly-anticipated Fearless will be released on April 8th.

7. Watch Me by Tahereh Mafi

Tahereh Mafi brings back the world of BookTok sensation, Shatter Me, with the New Republic series. Set ten years after the fall of the Reestablishment, Watch Me follows the narrative of James Anderson, the renowned Aaron Warner Anderson's younger brother, and Rosabelle Wolff, a skilled assassin living on Ark Island: the last refuge of the Reestablishment. Watch Me will be released on April 15th this spring.

8. The Floating World by Axie Oh

New York Times Bestselling author Axie Oh launches a new fantasy world with The Floating World with a story where an ex-soldier from the Underworld and a girl that performs acrobatics with her adoptive family in the east suddenly cross paths after a tragic accident. 9. Glorious Rivals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Jennifer Lynn Barnes is back with another installment of the spinoff series of the Grandest Game. Seven players, stakes higher than ever, and plot twists are unavoidable. We don’t know much about this book yet, but it will definitely be a thriller read with many twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. Look out for Glorious Rivals this summer on its planned release date of July 29th!
