Rosé's rosie
YG Entertainment girl group BLACKPINK's Rosé released her first album, rosie, this December. The album has twelve tracks, featuring “toxic till the end” as the title track, as well as “APT," a pre-released single collaboration with artist Bruno Mars. All tracks on this record-breaking album have reached over 11 million streams on Spotify, and her music videos on YouTube have reached over 55 million streams.

TWICE

STRATEGY by TWICE
JYP Entertainment's long-loved girl group, TWICE, made a comeback with their fourteenth extended play (EP), STRATEGY. The extended play consists of seven tracks, featuring the title track “Strategy,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
“Strategy” was also a pre-released single. The title track has collected over 26 million listens on Spotify, and their music video has reached over 25 million views on YouTube. TWICE's “Strategy” challenge has also been popular around social media platforms, and various members of the group have done collaborations with other mainstream k-pop artists like Ryujin from ITZY.

White Christmas by V (BTS) & Bing Crosby
V (Kim Taehyung), a member of HYBE Corporation's group, BTS, collaborated with famous American singer, Bing Crosby, releasing a cover of the beloved Christmas classic: “White Christmas.” This single accumulated over 46 million streams on Spotify, and 3.8 million views on YouTube. “White Christmas” was definitely a great addition to listeners' holiday playlists this season.

Stray Kids
Stray Kids' HOP
JYP Entertainment's iconic boy group, Stray Kids, released their eighteenth album and mixtape, HOP, on December 13, 2024. The album consists of twelve tracks, featuring “Walkin On Water” as the title track. The title track has received over 16 million streams on Spotify, and 28 million views on its music video on YouTube.
Furthermore, each of the eight artists had recorded their own solo songs that were placed on this album: Bang Chan's “Railway,” Felix's “Unfair,” I.N.'s “HALLUCINATION,” Lee Know's “Youth,” Hyunjin's “So Good,” Changbin's “ULTRA,” Han's “Hold my hand,” and Seungmin's “As we are,” respectively. Each member will eventually release their own music videos for their solo tracks. The mixtape has already scored the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Though there were fewer comebacks this month compared to November, December was nothing short of iconic and sensational music that captured the attention of the wide public.
