Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus originally got together back in 2009 after starring in The Last Song before they first got engaged in 2012. They broke up in 2013 and got back together in 2015. Then they tied the knot back in December of last year. After nearly eight months of marriage, the couple decided to call it quits.

Over the weekend, the rumor was confirmed by a representative.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," the rep stated. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

Although Liam isn't hiding how he feels about his separation from Miley, he is taking some time to be with loved ones including his brother, Chris Hemsworth, and his family.

While out in Bryon Bay, Australia, he was asked how he was doing by the Daily Mail Australia.

Meanwhile, Miley has been off on vacation in Lake Como, Italy with Kaitlynn Carter who has recently announced her split from husband and The Hills star, Brody Jenner. According to a source, the two bonded over their public splits.

Due to the latest headlines on his ex-wife and Miley Cyrus, Brody Jenner has taken to Instagram to share his thoughts. On Sunday afternoon, the 35-year-old reality TV personality shared a photo of himself in Malibu, California.

"Don't let yesterday take up too much of today," he captioned his pic.

Not long after Brody's post, his The Hills co-star Brandon Thomas Lee commented, writing, "Let's round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out."

"Watch out," Brody responded with a crying/laughing emoji. "Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon."

Of course, Miley had some thoughts and naturally chimed in on the conversation. She wrote, "go take a nap in your truck and cool off."

While the couple has yet to confirm what caused their split, they say it was for the best. As fans of this duo, we will surely miss them but also hope for the best.
