One thing about Lana is that she knows how to make songs feel like you are looking at the old art at the museum. Her music is like a poetry book, full of nostalgic feelings and sensations, making you emotional and vulnerable. But there is strength in that vulnerability. She makes you face your melancholic longings from the past and hope for a better future.
Songs like “Video Games” and “Young and Beautiful” remind us of the fleeting nature of youth, but there’s more to it than just reminiscing. She somehow captures that feeling of being torn between different worlds—like you’re stuck in this moment where you want to hold onto everything but know it’s slipping away.

There is something so divine about her voice. She is an old soul, blending vintage glamour with modern melancholy, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh, like a hazy dream you can't quite shake. Every Lana song feels like watching an old Hollywood movie, but the plot changes every time.

2. Rebellion Against Inauthenticity
It’s not just the nostalgia that draws us in—Lana’s also the ultimate symbol of rebellion. She knows what to say to get people mad at her. She knows what society accepts in a woman and what it does not accept.
The rebellion for her is a way of self-expression, breaking free from the cages of Hollywood and the world of fame. She does things her way, and that’s exactly why so many of us connect with her.
Tracks like “Born to Die” and “Ride” scream about wanting independence, showing us that it’s okay to reject society’s expectations and live on our terms—even if that means embracing chaos. After all, we were born to die, so why not embrace our individuality and go all the way?

3. The Soundtrack of Our Lives
As wanderers, the questions of who we are, who we are, and who we want to be are the hunters of our joy every night. Lana captures that chaos of being young and dumb very well- caught in a whirlwind of desire, confusion, heartbreak, and dreams that feel both distant and possible all at once.
One of my favourite songs from her is "The Greatest," because this song perfectly captures that bittersweet feeling of growing up, where everything seems to slip away while we’re trying to hold on to the best parts of life. Most of us want to be the greatest, and we torment ourselves to achieve excellence. But sometimes we lose ourselves in the chase of our dreams. "I'm the greatest, I'm the greatest, I'm the greatest." Lana asserting her greatness despite all the things in life that have tried to break her down, is very relatable to all the teens who lack self-worth and self-love.

The emotional complexity of wanting something more, of falling in love, of not always having the answers, and of being lost but free is the main motive driving Lana in her own world to find answers to the deepest questions of our hearts. For many of us, Lana is a reminder that it's okay to feel lost, to not have everything together, and to embrace that rebellious spirit we all have inside.
Raw vulnerability is what sets apart Lana from other pop stars. Her narratives about love, loss, and the struggle for personal freedom tell a story of our fate - making us intrigued by her artistic vision and her unique perspective of life.
