Taylor Swift fans have been anticipating Reputation (Taylor's Version) for several months now, with theories going viral on the internet about when the announcement should be expected. Swifties are also eager to see the Reputation outfit at the Eras Tour change following the announcement if it happens while the tour is still going on.
Many believe that in the spirit of the tagline “there will be no more explanation there will just be reputation”, Taylor might drop the album and the vault tracks with no warning at all. Fans have been sent into a frenzy with various potential Easter Eggs, including the most recent one through an Olympics commercial.

While fans clowned and speculated the announcement of Reputation TV, Taylor gave them a brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department. People have noticed certain references to Reputation through the TTPD set in the Eras Tour, a notable one being the ending of “Who's Afraid of Little Old Me” where her face on the screen appears to almost shrivel a bit and her eyes turn white.
Another clue many have pointed out is that there are parallels between the performance of “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” and “I Did Something Bad” from the Reputation tour.
The Look What You Made Me Do Music Video
There have also been some visual parallels between the Look What You Made Me Do music video, the lead single on Reputation, and the Eras Tour. For a brief period, Taylor switched from her mismatched 1989 outfits to monochromatic pieces, and people realized that they matched four monochromatic outfits from a scene in the music video. The 1989 outfit is also adorned by an embellishment at the neckline which looks like that cat mask used in the same scene.
Taylor introduced a new outfit later in the tour for the Lover era, a glittering orange body suit with a matching blazer. Doesn't seem relevant right? Well, since Taylor does not have any albums with orange as their color, this initially left fans confused.
They even thought it signified a new album. Eventually, they noticed that it could be a nod to the orange outfit and boots featured in the Look What You Made Me Do video.
This brings us to the most recent Easter Egg that has gotten Swifties excited about the album again. The song was featured in a commercial for the Olympics on NBC.
Many initially thought that it was …Ready For It? (Taylor's Version) but others pointed out that it was live from the Eras Tour, as mentioned at the end. The commercial has “baby let the games begin” echoing through it, which is not just a lyric, but is how the song began when it was performed at the Reputation tour in 2017.
The ad ends with Simon Biles saying “Are you guys ready for it?” Taylornation also captioned the video as “You should see the things they’re doing in Paris” on Instagram, a reference to the lyric “You should see the things we do, baby” from the song. Following the release of the ad, Taylor posted a story saying she was “ready to scream at her TV” (TV? Taylor's Version?). The speculations regarding Reputation TV had somewhat died down, but this feature brought them back to life. Taylor is not expected to be at the Olympics as she performs in Munich for her tour.
Regardless of when the album is announced, one thing fans know is that “I Did Something Bad” is the only song on Reputation that hasn't been performed on her ongoing tour. It's evident that Taylor is saving the song for the grand announcement, and the day Swifties hear the intro to the song echoing through the stadium at one of the concerts this year, we'll know what's coming!
