Though you cannot create a perfect plan, it is essential to write it down. Take a sheet of paper and plan how you want to move towards publishing your book. Ask yourself two questions: Why do I want to publish this book? And how will this book impact the world? Find your answers and reflect on them. Next, if you are going to explore your graphic design skills, you can plan to create the book cover on your own. Look at some graphic design software that you would like to try out. You can ask your artistic friends to help you out. Find some publishing companies that will help you to publish your book for free or at a cost-effective price. Next, create a structure for the book. Have an idea of what kind of plot is going to take place. You can draft the names of the chapters. It will help you in completing your book.

This is the most important thing and the most interesting thing— Write it out. Create your plot and write it out. You need to write your stories and poems out! A book can require 6 months to a year or more. It depends upon your pace and circumstances. Open a Docs File and start writing. Brainstorm your ideas, go out in nature, and look for some inspiration. Write the plot of the story. Give a setting, a theme, and build an overall appearance of the plot. Construct the characters in your story. Think about what kind of personality you would like to give to the characters. Create your glossary page. Build the protagonists and antagonists of the story. Find some new words from the dictionary. Look for words related to the theme of your book. Look for idioms that you could use. Collect them and start writing your story.

3. Check and Review it:

Since you have created your first draft, review it. Review each chapter. Look out for tiny errors, such as a spelling mistake or a grammatical mistake. It could also be a punctuation mistake. Work on those tiny details of your book. Review your first draft as many times as you like. You should ask your friends and teachers to review it. Ask them to give their input and opinions. Their perceptions and reviews will help you find your mistakes and rectify them.

4. Create the cover:

If you have found some graphic design software you want to explore in this segment, you should go for it. In the long run, you can experiment with your creative side. Use different, colourful graphics and elements. Make your book cover vivid and cinematic. You can go with your book's particular theme or setting. Use different fonts to make the cover and the book more appealing. Moreover, ask your friends who are good at art to help you create the book cover. Sometimes, there are built-in design tools that you can find on the publishing platform itself.

Now that you have written your book and finally created the cover, it is time to publish it. Do not be scared and do not overthink too much about it. While publishing your book, there are three things that you need to remember. Firstly, the platform should be secure and add value to your book. Secondly, the platform should be feasible when dealing with finances and sales. Lastly, it should provide you with proper rules while publishing your book. Now, do a quick Google Search and find a platform through which your book will be available on e-commerce websites and other shopping platforms. Moreover, you should order your first author copy and verify all your requirements.

6. Publicising it and receiving reviews:

This is the next crucial step in marketing your book. There is no perfect way to hit the number of sales you want for your book. Ask people to buy the book. Give a synopsis of the book. Look out for youth-led magazines and blogs where you could publicize your book. Ask your school's newspaper or magazine to also publicize your book. It's more of a hit-and-trial method. Share your published book with everyone and use your social media as a way to publicize it more. Ask people for their reviews and make sure you consider every criticism as constructive criticism.

In conclusion, do not be afraid of writing and publishing the book and asking for help when you need to.
