2. Spirited (2022)

Spirited is a new, modern retelling of Charles Dickens's evergreen classic A Christmas Carol, with a musical twist of good humor. Starring both Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell, this musical Christmas comedy wraps around laughter, cozy moments, and sing-along tunes that will make you hum the powerful theme.

3. The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

This amazing Netflix success story revolves around two kids who get stranded in Santa Claus's sleigh on a journey into a fantasy wonderland to save Christmas. The laid-back Santa Claus played by Kurt Russell says goodbye to the old cliche and makes it a laughable heresy. It is packed with action and sidesplitting moments of amusement, thereby making it highly appropriate for family gatherings.

4. Home Alone (1990)

Home Alone is a Christmas romance of an annoying kid who was ignored at home during the holidays and the brave thing he did to defend his home against burglars. If you don't have this movie down as your number one Christmas movie to watch this holiday season then you are doing something wrong.

It's a Christmas classical with Macaulay Culkin who does an amazing job of bringing comedy and mischief through his character Kevin. But toward the end, we see his family, especially his mom regret ignoring him and it sends a heartwarming message not only to the kids but to the parents of a true Christmas miracle.

5. Elf (2003)

Starring Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human raised by elves, Elf is a tear-inducing laugh-out-loud Christmas tale that reminds children of the real value of friendship and belonging. This giant family movie is a slam dunk annually because of its great, fabulous humor, along with funny one-liners and valuable points. Making it a personal favorite to mature audiences.

Why Christmas Movies Matter

These movies are fun and get everyone in the spirit of the holidays, bringing families together and making this time of year special. Buddy's shenanigans, singing along to Spirited Tunes, or the Grinch's change of heart, are what make you feel Christmas wherever you go. Grab your favorite blanket, and a cup of cocoa, and watch these holiday classics with your family.
