Despicable Me 4 will be the newest addition to the franchise. Directed by co-creator of the Minions and Oscar nominee, Chris Renaud, “Despicable Me 4” focuses on Gru's (Steve Carell) immediate family and the new addition to the family, Gru Jr. However, when Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) escapes prison and vows revenge against Gru, their peaceful family life suddenly crumbles.
Starring Kristen Wiig, Joey King, Sofía Vergara, and Dana Gaier, audience members can expect a comedic and family-friendly film focused on Gru’s close family and the new problems they have to deal with. “Despicable Me 4” will be released July 3rd in theaters and as part of Universal's deal, the film will stream on Peacock for the first four months of the pay-TV window before moving to Netflix for the next ten, and later returning to Peacock for the remaining four.

#2 Inside Out 2
“Inside Out 2,” directed by Kelsey Mann, is the sequel to the 2015 comedy fantasy film “Inside Out.” Following the events of the first movie, the main emotions, Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale), and Disgust (Liza Lapira) have continued to run a successful operation inside of Riley’s mind (Kensington Tallman). Riley, now a teenager going through puberty, encounters new emotions.
With the addition of Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos), and Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser), the older emotions are left to adjust to the new change.
This family-friendly comedic animation film will be released on June 19th in theaters and will later be available for streaming on Disney+.
#3 Deadpool & Wolverine
Directed by Shawn Levy, Marvel’s third addition to the franchise, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” follows Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) as he recovers from his injuries. While healing, he meets Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). The two team up to defeat a common enemy, Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin).
Audience members can expect a funny and spontaneous film packed with action. “Deadpool & Wolverine” will be released July 26th in theaters and will later stream on Disney+.
#4 Bad Boys: Ride or Die
Bad Boys is an American action comedy film series featuring Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Miles Burnett (Martin Lawrence), two detectives in the Miami Police Department. In directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah’s fourth addition to the franchise, the Bad Boys are back but are on the run this time.
Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett embark on a dangerous mission to clear the name of their late police captain, who was involved with drug cartels. This action-packed and comedic film will leave its viewers on the edge. “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” will be released on June 5th in theaters and will later stream on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video.
#5 Fly Me to the Moon
Directed by Greg Berlanti, “Fly Me to the Moon” is an upcoming American comedy-drama film based on the space race of the 1960s. The film follows marketing specialist Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) as she is tasked with fixing NASA’s tanking public image and “selling the moon” to viewers. Her world collides with that of Cole Davis (Channing Tatum), NASA’s launch director tasked with putting a man on the moon.
Despite their initial resentment toward one another, working together to film a backup to the moon landing in case the real mission fails helps them discover they may have more in common than they first thought. Audiences can expect a stylish and high-stakes film filled with comedy and lots of romance.
Viewers will see sparks fly between the two main characters in theaters on July 12 and streaming on Apple TV+ at a later date.
#6 A Quiet Place: Day One
“A Quiet Place: Day One” is a prequel directed by Michael Sarnoski to the film series “A Quiet Place.” This upcoming film follows Sam (Lupita Nyong'o), a young woman who fights to survive after New York City is invaded by alien creatures who hunt by sound. As humanity encounters the deadly, sound-sensitive aliens for the first time, the film explores the chaos that ensues.
Fans of the series can expect tons of jump-scares and phenomenal acting in this sci-fi apocalyptic movie. “A Quiet Place: Day One” will be released in theaters on June 27th and although streaming information is not yet available, since it's a Paramount film, it will likely stream on Paramount+ eventually.
#7 Long Legs
“Long Legs” is an upcoming American horror-thriller film following Lee Harker (Maika Monroe), an FBI Agent who is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case. Tensions rise when Harker uncovers a series of occult clues and a personal connection to the killer; making it imperative that she solves the case and puts an end to his terrifying killing spree.
This film mixes suspense and personal stakes as the audience watches Harker race against time to stop the murderer. “Long Legs” will be released in theaters on July 12th and will later be available for streaming on AppleTV.
#8 Borderlands
Eli Roth directs and writes "Borderlands," a sci-fi space Western film based on a first-person looter shooter video game of the same name. The story follows a team of misfits’ search for a missing girl who holds the key to unimaginable power by battling alien monsters and dangerous bandits.
Viewers can expect to see plenty of action, humor, and over-the-top moments right on the big screen on August 9th.
#9 Trap
Directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan, “Trap” follows Cooper, a serial killer named "The Butcher" (Josh Hartnett), and his daughter (Ariel Donoghue) attending a pop concert only to discover that they've entered a trap set by the police to catch him.
This psychological thriller will be released in theaters on August 9th.
#10 Twisters
Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, “Twisters” is an indirect sequel to the 1996 tornado-chaser hit Twister but is intended to serve as its own standalone story set in the modern day. The film follows Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones), a young woman who gets lured to the open plains in Oklahoma by her friend, Javi (Anthony Ramos), to test a groundbreaking new tracking system for tornadoes. They soon cross paths with social media star and storm hunter Tyler Owens (Glen Powell). As the storm intensifies, the three fight for their lives.
This thrilling and adventurous film will be released in theaters on July 19th and will most likely stream on Peacock sometime in the second half of 2024.
